JAMBOREE ON THE AIR

More than 400,000 excited Scouts worldwide participate in Scouting’s annual JOTA, with some using the opportunity to earn Radio Merit Badges for their efforts.
The Scouts were presented with a special issue of the "Archie" comic book "Archie’s Ham Radio Adventure," which they perused while making a small mountain of cookies and many cans of soft drinks disappear. All had a grand time.
It proved to be both a fun-filled and educational day for everyone involved, and the Scouts are already looking forward eagerly to JOTA 2002.
Mary Lu Blasdell/KB4EFP, Don Blasdell/W4HJL, Bill Hinely/K4WRG, and Jack McDermott/N4YIC, enjoyed assisting Scouting Committee Chairman John Fritsch/N4YOB, in this year’s event.

Even some Scout Moms and little sisters joined in the fun; some more enthusiastically than others
